Being positive broadens the mind and unburdens the soul. It leads to more creativity, greater resiliency, and rampant innovation—all those things near and dear to Barrel O’Monkeyz staff, clients, and colleagues.

Where do you rate yourself personally and professionally on the positivity meter?

Positivity also leads to big time benefits to your physical health and to healthy interactions with those around you, from friends and family to professional contacts and every one in-between. Don’t take my word for it, entrepreneur.com thinks so too. In essence, the more positive you are at work, at home, and at play, the more positive your surroundings and ultimately your results are likely to be.

Sowing the Seeds of Positivity

In general, I’m always positive, or at least I try to be. Those who know me personally, or who read this blog regularly, know that I’m a generally upbeat kind of guy—and positive, forward thinking is exactly how Barrel O’Monkeyz and I embraced 2017. “The sky’s the limit” was my credo, and the only things that could hold me back were my own negative thoughts.

Early on in 2017, Barrel O’Monkeyz re-affirmed its commitment to the active lifestyle space.

  • First, it’s an important space for me to be in, as it coincides well with my personal values, so I doubled down on positioning and networking with like-minded people and organizations.
  • Secondly, the active lifestyle space tends to be filled with positive, super-charged people who want the most out of life for themselves and for their customers/clients—not a bad place to be!

In January, Barrel O’Monkeyz entered into a collegial/strategic relationship with Accelerate Agency, a digital media/branding agency that touts itself (rightly) as “not just another 1960s ad agency.” Renting office space from them at 6863 Friars Road in San Diego, gives me a chance to rub shoulders on a regular basis with Accelerate’s CEO Brad McCrory (a special thanks to Brad for great mentorship and brotherhood) and with fellow suite-mate Les Kollegian, CEO & Chief Creative Officer of Jacob Tyler Agency, and their respective teams. Being in the midst of such creative, high energy people can only lead to good things . . . and it has!

In April, Barrel O’Monkeyz debuted its new website to better showcase what we do for clients and what we can do for our clients-to-be. I invite you to take a peek at www.barrelomonkeyz.com.

We’ve also had a great first quarter-plus, adding value for a range of new monkeyz clients and laying the groundwork to add more clients to the monkeyz barrel in 2017 and beyond.

Some of our new clients include:

I also want to thank Cindy White of ParkerWhite for her candor and tough love, and for pointing this monkey in the right direction. She was very straight forward with me and could have treated me as competitor.

Stay positive! Your next big win might be just around the corner!

Clearly, a mindset of working together with a positive, growth-centric attitude has already paid dividends for Barrel O’Monkeyz in 2017.

  • How can positivity create greater value for your business in 2017 and beyond?
  • What can you do to build more positivity into your marketing mix?
  • How can you surround yourself with more positive people, relationships, and positive thinking now and in the future?
